Canon Ink Cartridge Replacement

If you're not sure whether your Canon printer ink cartridges are low or full, you'll need to replace them. First, remove the old ones by pulling them out one at a time. When the old cartridges are out, press the tabs to release them from the printer slot. Then, reinstall the new ones. Make sure to push them in properly and tighten the tabs to avoid damaging them.

To install a new cartridge, you first have to remove the one that's inside the printer. There will be plastic wrap and a piece of tape on the top and bottom of the cartridge. Remove these components, and put them into a trash can. If the ink escaped, make sure to clean up the area immediately. Once you've finished, you're ready to replace the old one. Once the new cartridge is installed, you can test the print quality with the printer.

The two most common types are the CL-280 ink cartridges and the PGI-280 ink-280 ink-281) and the Canon PGI-280 /CL-281 ink-281, which are commonly available and compatible with many other models. In addition, there are also remanufactured Canon ink cartridge replacement that is available. To replace the ink cartridges, you need to shake the printer. This will cause it to smudge. If the ink cartridges aren't shaken well, you can't print with them. 

After you've identified which ink cartridges need to be replaced, it's time to remove the ink cartridges. The new cartridges should have an orange protective cap. Ensure the new ink cartridge does not obstruct the air hole. After removing the old cartridges, install the new ones. They should now work as normal. The ink in the new one should be as close to the original as possible.
